Ag47 – Contemporary Handcrafted Jewellery

Ag47 is an informal partnership of two friends, Jeanette Cook and Dave Kilford. We design and make jewellery, mainly using silver & semi-precious stones, but also other materials such as aluminium, and enamel coated copper wire. We each have our own strengths. Dave makes beautiful chains in intricate patterns, and uses silversmithing techniques to create wonderful abstract forms. Jeanette’s preference is for bending, weaving, wrapping & tying the chosen materials.

We allow the materials to influence design, sometimes starting on a piece with no fully formed idea of a desired outcome. We influence each other so that although we tend to craft our pieces individually, most are a collaboration of our ideas and skills.

Even with our most popular designs, we vary the interpretation so that, with the exception of the chains, each piece we offer you is individual and unique.
