About us

Made in Canterbury was created in November 2007 by founder Sue Nyirenda. Sue’s vision was for a collective of local Arts and Crafts people to come together to sell, mutually support and learn from each other to take their business further. Members make their own products offering shoppers the opportunity to purchase unique gifts.

The group has progressed over the last two years to be more of a craft group. All members live in the Canterbury and district area which enables buyers to buy local products at affordable prices. There is a wide variety of items including; pottery, textile art, soft furnishings, wooden gifts decoupage gifts, paintings, photos, bags, cards and jewellery.

We have a website which has links to some of the individual websites to purchase items. We are planning to be able to sell our products on line soon. Items are also stocked at Mama Feelgoods Fine Foods, Bekesbourne, nr Canterbury on a permanent basis, all year round. We have a regular Christmas Shopping event in November and other events on an ad-hoc basis. We have previously had temporary shops in the centre of Canterbury in December too.
